In Episode 20 of the Green Government Podcast we’re taking a more international look at green government and chatting with Chris Dunnett, the Counselor for Public Diplomacy at the U.S. Embassy in Sweden. In his role at the Embassy, he is responsible for increasing understanding in Sweden of U.S. society, culture and official policy positions, as well as for cultivating strong U.S.-Swedish relations through the exchange of people and ideas.
One exciting program developed by the Embassy is the Swedish American Green Alliance, a sustainability exchange for Swedish and American researchers, entrepreneurs, policy makers, journalists, and many others. In today’s podcast we’re going to hear more about this great networking alliance.

Chris Dunnett is the Counselor for Public Diplomacy at the U.S. Embassy in Sweden. In this role he is responsible for increasing understanding in Sweden of United States society, culture and official policy positions, as well as for cultivating strong U.S.-Swedish relations through the exchange of people and ideas. Mr. Dunnett also acts as the official spokesman for the Embassy. Chris is a career U.S. diplomat with over eighteen years of experience. Prior to Sweden, he served at the U.S. embassies in the United Kingdom, Serbia, Trinidad & Tobago, and Georgia in addition to assignments in Washington dealing with policy toward the countries of the former Soviet Union and Central Europe. Chris is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and a Summa Cum Laude graduate in Slavic and International Studies from West Virginia University. He speaks Russian, Serbian, and Swedish.

Fuel cell-powered forklifts are proving to be a technology that can enhance today's materials handling operations. More than 2,000 fuel cell forklifts are being installed and operated at warehouses across the United States by familiar companies such as Coca-Cola, FedEx, Wal-Mart, Nissan, BMW, Wegmans, Whole Foods, Nestlé Waters, Bridgestone-Firestone and Kimberly-Clark. Similarly, the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is exploring its ability to capitalize on the benefits of fuel cell forklifts in its warehouse operations.
