For the first time, comprehensive greenhouse gas (GHG) data reported directly from large facilities and suppliers across the country are now easily accessible to the public through EPA's GHG Reporting Program.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has ordered Sims Metal Management, located at the Port of Redwood City, Calif., to comply with federal Clean Water Act laws following inspections that found evidence of unlawful discharges of PCBs, mercury, lead, copper and zinc into San Francisco Bay.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is releasing its annual national analysis of the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI), providing all Americans with vital information about their communities. The TRI program publishes information on toxic chemical disposals and other releases into the air, land and water, as well as information on waste management and pollution prevention activities in neighborhoods across the country.

In 2010, SUPERVALU worked with Feeding America to donate edible, but unsellable, food to food banks, diverting more than 30,000 tons of food from the landfill and avoiding more than $2.5 million in landfill costs.
