The Center for Environmental Innovation and Leadership (CEIL) is an independent organization designed to facilitate information and education exchange among government professionals charged with identifying, specifying, and buying green goods and services and with the vendors, contractors, and consultants that provide green goods and services.
Robert Harar

Chairman, National Trade Productions
Robert E. Harar, Chairman, founded National Trade Productions (NTP) in 1976 with the goal of becoming the country’s premier trade show, conference, association meeting and corporate events producer. Under his leadership, NTP has produced over 1,000 events worldwide in more than 20 industries.
NTP has the industry’s longest history of launching and producing events for the federal government, including GovSec, U.S. LAW and FOSE. FOSE, launched in 1976, is the longest running trade show for government audiences. In addition, NTP has expertise in a variety of industries, including security, transportation, communications, health care, public works, information technology, education, manufacturing and engineering.
Among his many contributions to the industry, Robert was the Chair of the Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO), and is a featured speaker at many events. He has participated as a member of the Board of the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) and has made significant financial contributions toward its success. Robert currently serves as Chairman for NTP and works as a consultant for organizations facing significant change within their event.
Ann Seltz
President, Center for Environmental Innovation and Leadership
Ann Seltz, co-founder of the Center for Environmental Innovation and Leadership (CEIL), brings broad experience in executive leadership programs, including creating content and developing programs for business-to-business audiences.
Ann is responsible for communicating the mission of CEIL to government professionals charged with implementing green initiatives and policies. She works to inform, educate and enable audiences at the federal, state and local levels through a web-based knowledge center on sustainability. She develops and produces educational events, including the GOVgreen Conference and Exposition which launched in 2010 and takes place in late-Octoer 2012 in Washington, DC. CEIL also creates custom events on green topics and publishes a weekly eNewsletter.
As Marketing Vice President for Hanley Wood LLC, Ann launched and managed over 50 conferences, events and websites. Before that, she worked at the director level for leading media companies Ziff Davis and McGraw Hill. She began her professional career reporting for Engineering News-Record and Civil Engineering magazines.
Ann is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and a member of the American Marketing Association and the Direct Marketing Association.
Danielle Miller Wagner
Director of Programming, GOVgreen Conference and Expo
Danielle Miller Wagner, Director of Programming for GovGreen, is an environmental professional focusing on bringing sustainable practices to government agencies. A Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional (AP), Danielle has more than 16 years of experience helping federal, state and local government agenciess, real estate developers, and non-profits develop new initiatives, manage programs, cultivate support, and facilitate relationships.
Prior to joining GovGreen, Danielle served as Vice President of a specialty real estate company focusing on the redevelopment of environmentally impaired properties (Brownfields) where she built a nationwide sourcing network and created new models for tapping the municipal Brownfield market. Previously, Danielle managed environmental and economic development programs for the International City/County Management Association (ICMA). In this capacity, she led an association-wide sustainability initiative, local government energy efficiency programs, as well as Smart Growth and Brownfield initiatives for local governments. Danielle also worked for a government contractor and provided technical and strategic support to the US Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of the Navy, with a focus on land use controls, Superfund liability, and Brownfield cleanup and reuse. Danielle also worked in the first Clinton Administration in Vice President Gore's GLOBE Program.
Danielle earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan, School of Natural Resources and Environment, and a Master of Science in Environmental Policy from Johns Hopkins.
Kate Hash
Director of Web Content, Center for Environmental Innovation and Leadership
Kate Hash has 8 years of marketing, website design, website optimization, and copywriting experience. In her capacity as director of web content for CEIL, Kate oversees content management for the entire CEIL site, including blogs, newsfeeds, resource guides, and focus areas. She also manages the social media presence for CEIL and hosts the Green Government Podcast Series.
Kate has consulted with a variety of companies -- including small businesses, educational institutions and media publishers -- with a focus on website development and optimization. From 2005-2007, she worked at Hanley Wood, LLC as a marketing manager for leading publications in the residential construction business.
Kate earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the George Washington University and a Master of Arts in Education Administration from the University of Louisville.
